After a night at unexpected lodgings, owned by a local producer of soap made from horse milk, I set off on a beautiful misty morning on the hills south of St Chely.
Being a little off the normal track it took about an hour to join the regular GR65 track, until then you are always nervous that you may end up miles away from the day’s destination. Seeing a GR65 sign along the path, with the red and white stripes, gives confidence that you’re on track – and hopefully going the right way.
