Taking a day off to explore the medieval city of Figeac on the Célé River ended up providing a great opportunity to wander, enjoy coffee breaks and a delicious lunch. All the blogs, and travel resouces suggested Figeac as a place to spend more time.

After lunch a visit to the Musée Champollion, which specialises in les écritures du monde (the writings of the world) is found a replica of the Rosetta Stone.

Wandering the charming narrow streets, cobbled laneways and shuttered windows was more the highlight, and far from being a dfay off I probably wlaked as much as a ‘normal’ hiking day.
My favorite small gîte so far, the cosy Gîte de Gua delicious local sourced foods, from kitchen garden and nearby, beautiful gardens blah blah
