The ‘Chemin le Puy’ or, Via Podiensis, is the first of two stages of my 2024 Camino from Le Puy en Velay in south-central France to Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain.

The total distance is about 1,515 kms and at an average of about 25 kms per day, it should take 60 days (60 Stages) to complete.

Thinking that this might be my ‘last hurrah’ walking the Camino, I wanted to join the patchwork of stages that I walked in 2019 to make a complete journey. With no training (again) nor special preparations, I set off. Stage 1, the day after VE Day, would be my first training day.
