A short walk today. In the past,I don’t think I would have said 20 kms was short, but now I do.

A short but steep climb into Arthez-de-Béarn which sits at the head of a ridge, the path followed the ridge for a few kms of easy walking before descending into the Ousse river valley. Maslacq is on the Ousse.
Starting to find a consistent cohort of walkers, anyone here now will be walking until at least St Jean with no ‘drop-offs’. They’re an ok bunch but I’m sure there’ll be a better mix once in Spain.
